Connoisseur Estates signs up Woodchurch English Sparkling Wine

Connoisseur Estates is delighted to announce a new agency agreement for Woodchurch English sparkling wines from Kent.

Andrew Steel, director of Connoisseur Estates comments: “With the advance in quality and popularity of English sparkling wines in recent years, not having an English wine in the portfolio had become an increasingly obvious gap for us as a supplier of boutique, family owned wines to the independent sector, so we made a concerted effort to find the right producer and Woodchurch fits the bill perfectly.”

Woodchurch is a family business established in 2009 at Woodchurch Estate in Kent, by Graham and Donna Barbour who produce award winning English sparkling wine. The vineyard is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Woodchurch in Kent – the garden of England. Set on hills looking south over the ancient Romney marsh down to the English channel, the land has the perfect geography and climate to produce the highest quality grapes and the finest English sparkling wine. The wines are carefully hand-crafted to express the characteristics of each individual season. They released their first wines in 2015 producing a Classic Cuvée, Rosé and Blanc de Blancs.

The Woodchurch wines will be available in the UK for the independent On and Off Trade. The Classic Cuvée will retail at £26.95 and the Rosé & Blanc de Blancs at £28.95.

Connoisseur Estates also represents leading producers such as Tohu & Aronui from New Zealand, Oldenburg Vineyards from South Africa, Gauchezco Wines from Argentina, and Champagne Autréau amongst others.
